Featuring an expert scientific, veterinary and herbalist panel from Ireland, the UK and Switzerland, the annual The Natural Dog Seminar (in English), organised by Happy Dogs Aigle offers inspiring, up-to-date and educational information for anyone interested in a more holistic, natural approach to caring for their dog. The 2021 event will be online to avoid any potential issues caused by Covid 19, but will be as interesting, interactive and informative as ever!
This is the 4th Natural Dog Seminar and it continues to grow in relevance, popularity and length. The 2020 seminar takes place over an entire weekend in a modular format to facilitate people's busy lives. Sessions are scheduled in 4 hour blocks allowing delegates to attend a half day, a full day or the entire weekend depending on their interest and availability.
With a mix of practical and theoretical sessions for beginners and more experienced dog owners, agenda topics include canine nutrition, feeding fresh food, the use of herbs & essential oils, traditional chinese veterinary medicine, canine first aid, animal self medication, Tellington Touch and massage for canine health, happiness & well-being.
Plenary lectures take place Saturday September 26th in Montreux.
Practical hands-on workshops and demonstrations take place on Sunday September 27th in Ollon.

Dr. Conor Brady, PhD & expert in Canine Nutrition, Dr. Brady is a passionate advocate of raw food feeding and natural health care for dogs.
Having spent many years studying canine nutrition, inflammation and allergies, since 2011 he lectures at seminars and workshops for dog owners and professionals worldwide. Never afraid to give his honest opinion, his lectures are thought provoking and fun, while simultaneously scientifically focused and serious. Dr Victoria Unt, MRCVS, obtained her Veterinary degree from the University of London, The Royal Veterinary College (RVC) in 2007. She moved to Switzerland in 2011 to work with the International Equestrian Federation and subsequently returned to clinical practice, working in French.
In 2014 Victoria became a Certified Veterinary Acupuncturist and has further training in Food Therapy and Chinese Herbal Medicine (phytotherapy). She is the foundering veterinary surgeon of “Cabinet vétérinaire Equilibre Sàrl”, a practice based in Yverdon-les-Bains, offering an Integrated Veterinary Medicine service (Western and Chinese). Caroline Ingraham, Author & Founder of Applied Zoopharmacognosy, and a leading expert in this field of animal self-medication, Caroline has featured in many scientific journals and articles and has written numerous books on AZ. Her work encompasses an understanding of pharmacokinetics and pharmacology combined with animal self-medication. Caroline lectures to vets, college and university students all over the world and writes widely on the subject of animal self-selection. Jo Arbon, Founder of Holistic Hound, Jo's experience and training to date has focused on the use of herbs, flower essences and essential oils in both humans and animals. A qualified veterinary herbalist, she is also a Canine First Responder, and qualified in Kennel and Cattery management and ttouch. Since then, she has honed her expertise in the areas of canine physiotherapy, rehabilitation, osteopathy and acupuncture. Widely published and experienced in lecturing on canine therapies and care, Dr. Challande is currently studying the field of veterinary phytotherapy, the use of herbal remedies (phytopharmaceuticals) for therapy and prevention of illness in dogs.

Jenny Hale & Karina Kerrigan, Co-founders of Canine First Aid Ireland, Jenny & Karina both began their careers as Veterinary Nurses in Ireland and the UK. They subsequently re-trained and embarked on highly successful careers in dog grooming. Founding members of the Irish Professional Dog Grooming Association and members of the Guild of Master Groomers in the UK, they are internationally renowned for their grooming, teaching and judging prowess.
